The year in review – 2018

Posted on

Well this year was eventful…

In September 2016 till October of the same year I was sick with psychosis. It was a hard time. I lost a few friends and family. I said some stupid things, did some stupid things and generally wasn’t myself.

I recovered and celebrated the New Year last year with my Dad. He seems to be the constant in my life. No matter how sick I get or how silly I got he still stood by me.

Again in about Sept 2017 I stopped taking my meds cold turkey to go on herbs full-time. It was a big mistake, I started to feel dazed and confused within a few weeks. By October I was in hospital for a few days to get myself right. Pretty soon I found out I had an infection and I was sent to a general hospital ward. I had liver and kidney failure (to add to my mental health issues). I was in hospital about 2 1/2 weeks. It was scary I’ll admit, I made it to ICU and survived to live the tail.

So in 2019 I am grateful for my health both physical and mental. I give thanks that God has kept me safe and helped me through my illness. I am now on the road to recovery. Moved house and going back to work soon (plus studying).

I don’t know what you have gone through in 2018, but if you were like me you may have been sick this year. I pray you give thanks and that you appreciate the fact that you’re alive and you have good health.

Here’s to better health, wealth and happiness in 2019…I wish you all the best.
